It was an egg hunt for children like Holly Borris, 2, at Rodgers Smith Park in Pleasant Hill on Sunday, and a bone hunt for dogs like Heidi, a rescue owned by Kevin and Suzanne Smith, when the Contra Costa Humane Society hosted a benefit event. In addition to the hunts, there were arts and crafts, opportunities for Easter pictures, raffle prizes and a sale of baked goods. All proceeds benefited the Humane Society and its programs.
