Daniel Prast, the son of Richard Burton, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which will be presented in Court of Honor ceremonies April 14, at the Hope Center in Pleasant Hill.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 277, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Don Hinton.
For his Eagle Scout community service project, Prast led the construction of four dirt sifters for the archaeology department at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. The sifters will be used in field work at dig sites for archaeology classes.
During his Scouting career, he earned the William T. Hornaday badge for leading a project removing 123 tires from San Pablo Bay in Pinole, and earned a total of 48 merit badges.
Prast, 16, is a junior at College Park High School, and a resident of Pleasant Hill.
