Arctic Circle Record

On a trip to Norway in August, David Matson and his wife, Susan Gerson, of Pleasant Hill, stopped at the fishing village of Reine in the Lofoten Islands in the northern part of the country. There, they took a moment amid magnificent scenery to catch up on the community news in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez Record. Above the arctic circle, the days started early -- with sunrises about 4:30 a.m. -- while sunsets were late, about 9:30 p.m.

It doesn't matter if your time away is spent across San Francisco Bay or across the country -- remember to pack the Record to keep up with news of the community, and then show your neighbors where you have been.
