Dr. Seuss-inspired treats

At the Martinez Library, Timo Dale, 6, second from left, looks for guidance from Alcina Morello, right, both of Martinez, as they work on scooping up ice cream for "Schlopps with a Cherry on Top." The Dr. Seuss-inspired dessert -- along with the story "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" -- was part of the "Mrs. Morello Cooks with Dr. Seuss" story time and treat events. The last session will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Jan. 27, with a "Cat in the Hat" treat. Registration is required. Visit ccclib.org/locations/martinez.html, or call 925-646-9900.
