Strong week for 'Dogs

  • Alhambra High's baseball team put together a strong week in Diablo Foothill Athletic League play, beating Las Lomas 11-7 and Acalanes 3-0 to make a small climb in the league standings. The win over Acalanes avenged a 3-2 loss to the Dons in March and was arguably the team's best of the season. Zach Keever played a key role, silencing Acalanes' bats in the complete-game effort. He struck out eight and allowed just two hits.
