LIVERMORE -- A Livermore high school teacher accused of having sex with a young student made a brief court appearance Thursday as the judge considered whether to admit the victim's health and school records into the proceedings.
Marie Johnson, 41, was arrested in January after being accused of having sex with a 14-year-old former student. The former Granada High School math teacher pleaded not guilty in February to 24 counts of sex crimes.
Her sexual relationship with the boy ran from December 2010 to May 2011, according to Livermore police. She communicated with the boy via text messages, Facebook and instant messaging on the "Words with Friends" smartphone application, police said.
The case was put over until Monday in order to produce the subpoenaed documents over the weekend.
Johnson remains at Santa Rita Jail with bail set at $950,000.
