Dublin routs Fresno

  • The Dublin High football team showed it's more than a one-man show in a 49-14 rout of winless Fresno on Sept. 15. Gaels senior Ondre Rudolph, who entered the game averaging 207 yards a game, ran for another 160 and two touchdowns against the visiting Warriors. But Dublin showed a variety of weapons and a stingy defense in the second half. Darrell Millender, a sophomore, ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and Cory Thurman had a nice over-the-shoulder reception on a 41-yard touchdown play. Tristan Elias, part of a three-quarterback rotation, had a 30-yard scoring run and passed for a touchdown. Rudolph, who only carried seven times after gaining 126 yards in the first half, has rushed for 781 yards rushing total in four games. The Gaels host Miramonte on Friday night to open Diablo Foothill Athletic League play.
