PLEASANTON -- It is time to get down and dirty.
On Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., women of all ages can run, walk, climb or crawl through a 5k mud course for a good cause -- breast cancer awareness.
The Dirty Girl Mud Run and Obstacle Course at the Alameda County Fairgrounds is meant for any participant, whether or not they have athletic capabilities.
It is an untimed obstacle course designed to push participants slightly out of their comfort zones.
Tickets are $75. Races continue throughout the day in 15-minute waves. The fairgrounds are at 4501 Pleasanton Ave.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation will benefit from money raised by the run.
