A passenger suffered major injuries after being ejected from a car Sunday afternoon on Highway 680, the CHP reported.
The driver of the 2000 green Jeep Wrangler was traveling southbound on Highway 680, just north of McKee Road, when the car flipped, according to the CHP. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, and booked into the Santa Clara County jail.
The CHP said the incident was reported at 3:18 p.m., and the investigation required officers to block the right three lanes of southbound traffic for almost an hour. No other cars were involved in the accident, officials said.
No information was available on the driver or the victim, who was rushed to Regional Medical Center of San Jose.
