PACIFICA -- The body of a woman that washed ashore at Linda Mar State Beach on Friday was identified as missing San Francisco resident Uma Keshavan, coroner officials said.

Keshavan, 48, was recently reported missing from her home in San Francisco, said San Mateo County coroner Robert Foucrault. Her body was pulled from the surf at the north end of the beach at 5151 Cabrillo Highway, about 4:30 p.m.

San Francisco police officials were not immediately available for comment on the circumstances surrounding Keshavan's disappearance.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Pacifica police at 650-738-7314. The woman's cause of death remains under investigation.
