Amber Huggins, 21, of Concord, rides the Tea Cups carnival ride with her nephew Tommy Sumerlin, 3, during the 76th Annual Walnut Festival held at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek, Calif., on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. Other than carnival rides, the event features a car show, a beer garden, food, live music, vendor booths and fishing in the pond on Saturday and Sunday. Festival hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $6.00 with a $1.00 discount per entry with a canned food donation for the Food Bank of Contra Costa.
