Few would fault the Raiders if Sebastian Janikowski squibbed every kick and Shane Lechler punted out of bounds every time Sunday against Cleveland Browns standout returner Joshua Cribbs.

Cribbs is fresh from a game in which he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, giving him an NFL record eight career kick returns for scores. None have come against the Raiders.

"On special teams, we're not afraid of any challenge," special teams player Sam Williams said. "We don't back down. We kick to anybody. "... That's just how we play it. We like to take the mentality that we're not going to back down from a challenge."

Cribbs laughed into the phone during a conference call with Bay Area media when he heard that.

"I'm pretty shocked," Cribbs
