ALAMEDA -- The Raiders brought back five players to their practice squad Monday in addition to two players who were waived by other teams.
The returning players are cornerback Chance Casey, wide receiver Greg Jenkins, tight end Brian Leonhardt, guard Lamar Mady and safety Shelton Johnson. All were waived by the Raiders Saturday.
Also signed to the practice squad were linebacker Marshall McFadden, who was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and offensive tackle Matt McCants, who spent last season on the practice squad of the New York Giants. McCants was a sixth-round draft pick of the Giants in 2012.
The Raiders still have one spot left for the practice squad, which is made up of players who have six or fewer games of NFL regular-season experience.
On option could be to bring back Tyler Wilson, their fourth-round draft pick, should he clear waivers after being released Sunday.
