SANTA CLARA -- Former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, five-time Super Bowl champion Charles Haley and two Raiders legends -- Tim Brown and Ray Guy -- are among finalists for this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
It is DeBartolo's third straight year as a finalist and Haley's fourth consecutive year.
At last month's 49ers game in Tampa, Fla., DeBartolo downplayed his own hopes and instead turned the focus on Haley, the 49ers' (and Cowboys') former defensive menace. "He's going in this year," vowed DeBartolo, noting he's already been asked by Haley to present him for such an induction into Canton.

Brown, like Haley, is a finalist for the fourth straight year. Guy is an eight-time finalist, although it's been six years since the former Raiders punter reached that stage. He was announced in August as a senior nominee along with Claude Humphrey.
First-year eligible nominees who were named finalists are Derrick Brooks, Tony Dungy, Marvin Harrison and Walter Jones.
