The Oakland Zoo officially turns on its holiday cheer Nov. 30 when hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights will illuminate the night sky to create ZooLights, known to be the largest LED holiday light display in the Bay Area.

Dozens of colorfully lit animal-themed structures will be situated throughout the zoo for families to enjoy during the evening hours.

The annual Oakland Zoo tradition includes a festive holiday lightshow, presented by Impact Lighting and 99.7 Now, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1.

ZooLights will continue through Dec. 31, except for Dec. 24-25.

Admission to the zoo is $8 for adults, $6 for children; Oakland Zoo members receive a $1 discount. For more information, visit www.oaklandzoo.org.
