PLEASANT HILL -- The Contra Costa County Board of Education will hear an appeal Wednesday by a charter school that wants to open in the West Contra Costa school district.
The Caliber K-8 Charter School's petition was denied by the West Contra Costa school board. The school has appealed to the county Board of Education, which will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. at the Contra Costa County Office of Education, 77 Santa Barbara Road in Pleasant Hill.
The county board expects to vote on the appeal next month.
