RICHMOND -- West Contra Costa trustees will meet Thursday to ratify a collective bargaining agreement with the district's teachers' union expected to cost $1.5 million this year and $4.2 million in 2014-15.

The agreement includes a 1 percent raise in January, a 3 percent raise in July, and monthly health care contributions by the district ranging from $673 for single coverage to $1,545 for a family.

In addition, the board expects to adopt a uniform system for prequalifying and rating prospective bidders on construction projects and to discuss the status of the Portola Middle School project.
