TRACY -- Investigators say a man armed with a semiautomatic handgun robbed a market in Tracy on Saturday evening.

Around 8:40 p.m., the man walked into the Carbona Food and Liquor Market on the 28300 block of South MacArthur Drive and took groceries and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.

The man was described as a Latino man between 25 and 27 years old. He is believed to be about 5 feet 7 inches and roughly 180 pounds.

In a sheriff's office press release, the suspect was described as being clean-shaven with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes and walking south on MacArthur.

No one was injured during the robbery.
