In textile designer Dena Fishbein's new book, "The Painted Home by Dena," she offers 20 fun craft projects anyone can do. Here are instructions for her "Layered Glass Vases."

Gather:

  • Cylindrical glass vases in two sizes -- one that fits into the other.

  • Color copies of fabric, wallpaper, giftwrap or other patterned materials.

  • Double-stick tape.

    Then:

    1. Cut the color copies to line the larger of the two vases.

    2. Use double-stick tape to adhere the paper to the inside of the vase.

    3. Insert the smaller vase into the larger and fill it with water and fresh-cut flowers.
