The 55th Annual Grammy Awards did a good job of spreading the wealth, with no one act dominating like Adele did last year. But there were still a few surprises along the way...

-- Mumford and Sons "Babel" taking home Album of the Year, beating out the Black Keys and Frank Ocean.

-- Veteran Bonnie Raitt's "Slipstream" prevailing over a bunch of hip upstarts for Best Americana Album.

-- The Robert Glasper Experiment, a decidedly non-mainstream entry, taking home the Best R&B Album award.

-- "Midnight in Paris," an artful choice for Best Compilation Soundtrack.

-- The genre-blending all-star set "The Goat Rodeo Sessions" scoring in the Best Folk Album category.
