Free business seminar planned for May 30

The Town of Danville will host a free business learning event May 30.

Area business owners are invited to the Spring Business Marketing Seminar as a way to cultivate clients and increase business. A panel of experts will speak on topics including finance, human resources and marketing.

Classes for beginners teach web surfing, more

Free classes for computer novices -- those who may have never clicked a mouse, used email or even surfed the Web -- will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Pleasanton Library, 400 Old Bernal Ave.

There are four one-hour classes in each series, which will be offered twice each month. Registration is required. Ask at the library reference desk or call 925-931-3400, ext. 4.

Livermore- Amador Valley

Wheels route changes proposed, hearings set

The Wheels bus system will hold three meetings this month to get public comment on a proposal to change service on 13 bus routes in Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin.

Service would increase on some routes and decrease on others, and some routes would be combined. Routes 11 and 701 would be discontinued.

The public meetings are from 5 to 7 p.m. at the following: Monday at the Dublin library, 200 Civic Plaza, Dublin; Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 310 Main St., Pleasanton, and Wednesday at the Livermore Senior Services Center, 4444 East Ave., Livermore.
