DANVILLE -- California Highway Patrol officers will offer their free driver's education program "Start Smart" to San Ramon Valley teens on Nov. 6 in the Monte Vista High School Theater from 7-9 p.m.

The class is targeted toward new and future drivers aged 15 to 20, and their parents or legal guardians. As part of the program, CHP officers will discuss collision factors associated with teen drivers, collision avoidance techniques, and driver/parent responsibilities.

The class is open to all San Ramon Valley students and is presented by Street Smarts, a traffic safety education program. Registration is requested, but not required. To register, visit https://chpstartsmart.eventbrite.com.

Monte Vista High School is at 3131 Stone Valley Rd. in Danville.
