Meet and greet Santa's reindeer on the farm
Come by and meet a pair of Santa's reindeer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Home Farms Historic Park, 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd.
There will also be tours of the Glass House Museum (fee required) decorated for the holidays, visits with a Victorian Santa and Victorian ornament making. Stuff your own teddy bear (fee required), play old-fashioned games, enjoy tractor rides, sheepdog demonstrations and food for sale.

Winter Faire fun for kids at Alviso Adobe event
Tri-Valley children will celebrate the holiday season in style Dec. 21 at the City of Pleasanton's annual Winter Faire at Alviso Adobe Community Park.
Youngsters ages 5 to 12 will be able to make natural holiday wreaths and old-fashioned ornaments, decorate the park with winter treats for the animals and have pictures taken with Santa Claus. Light refreshments will be provided. The Winter Faire has two sessions: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $15 for Pleasanton residents and $18 for nonresidents. Parents are invited to attend at no charge.

Making merry during war times is new exhibit
Dublin's history museum has a new exhibit on how Christmas was observed at local military bases during World War II.
The free exhibit called "Keep Calm and Merry On" is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays until Jan. 12 at the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums, 6800 Donlon Way.
Artifacts from Dublin's Camp Parks, Camp Shoemaker, Fleet City and the Shoemaker Naval Hospital will be on display.
