Homestead High, Dougherty Valley to vie in Science Bowl
Teams from Homestead High in Cupertino and Dougherty Valley High in San Ramon will be among 16 teams competing in the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C., in April.
The two schools beat out competitors in regional finals. Each of the regional winners won $1,000 for their school's science department and an expense-paid trip to the national finals.
In the science bowl, students answer questions in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, energy, mathematics and physics during an all-day, "Jeopardy"-style competition.
