It just may be the next best thing to golfing in Hawaii. Tee off at the annual Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Aloha Golf Classic on July 23 at Diablo Country Club.
Early birds can start registering at 9:30 a.m. and participate in a putting contest. The scramble shotgun start is at noon, with no-host cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and the Aloha Live auction beginning at 6:15.
"This year we are initiating a yearly tradition to donate a portion of our Aloha Live! Auction proceeds to the year's DACC Charitable Organization of the Year, the Wheelchair Foundation," said Martha Levison, events coordinator, in an email. She said proceeds from the golf tournament also go toward supporting the local business community.
Golf packages including dinner start at $195; individual dinners are $50. Sponsorships are still available. For further information, go to www.danvilleareachamber.com or call 925-837-4400.
