San Ramon Azuri 99B 5, Turlock Black 3: Four minutes into their State Cup game against Turlock, San Ramon struck first when Michael DeFoe led forward Shiva Chemburkar with a centering pass that Chemburkar finished into the net. Turlock answered in the seventh minute to tie the game, then took a 2-1 lead after executing a free kick.

San Ramon evened the score on a penalty kick by Oscar Ibanez, after forward Alek Ragusano was fouled in the box. In the 27th minute, San Ramon pulled ahead when midfielder Alex Chubb converted on an assist from Nick Stocking.

Two minutes into the second half, Turlock scored on a breakaway to tie the game 3-3. San Ramon defender Nick Stocking and forward Alek Ragusano combined for the go-ahead score, and Ragusano scored on a breakaway to secure the 5-3 victory.

Goalkeeper Marc Chamberlain had nine saves and was backed up with tenacious defense by Nikolas Win, Kyle Haworth, Michael DeFoe, Vincent Liu, and Eric Choi. The win propels San Ramon to their first ever appearance in the NorCal Premier State Cup-Bronze Division quarterfinals on April 21 in Davis.
