Boys 11U Division

Championship Tournament

The San Ramon Slammers 11U baseball team took first place in the 680 Pony League Championship Tournament held at Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale on June 1-2. Over two days, the Slammers won four consecutive games to take home the 2013 Pony League title.

In the championship game, Kevin Harioka drove in four runs to lead the Slammers to an 8-7 comeback victory over a tough Brentwood Blast Red team. In the fifth inning, San Ramon trailed 7-3 before Harioka hit a three-run triple, which made the score 7-6. In the bottom of the sixth, the Slammers scored two more runs and won the game with clutch hits from Jared Amigh, J.T. Noble, Chip Menard and Brandon Louie (walk-off RBI single).

Championship

White Sox 8, Giants 7: The White Sox defeated the Giants in the Majors Championship game on June 8 at Osage Park.

The Giants jumped out to a six run lead but the White Sox wouldn't go down without a fight. In the fifth inning, the Sox put up five runs, and in the bottom of the sixth they scored two more to win the game in dramatic fashion. The White Sox finished the season with an 18-4-1 record.

The White Sox roster included: John Foster, Lee Slim, Jeff Stephens, Mike Clark, Alec Clark, Daniel Corbett, Jackson Foster, Casey Kehr, Graham King, Matthew Mandeville, Davis Parker, Joey Savarese, Ryan Schock, Jack Slimm, Bryce Stephens and Thomas Volpe.

SRVGAL

3/4 North Division

Playoffs

The SRVGAL Strikers headed into the North Division playoffs with a 12-3 regular season record. They sailed through the first two rounds before meeting the Lightning Storm (14-1) in the North Division championship. During the regular season, the Lightning Storm defeated the Strikers three times, accounting for all of the Strikers regular season losses. However, the North Division championship game was a different story.

Outstanding pitching by Ally Cleary and Grace Palamountain led the Strikers to a decisive 10-1 victory over the Lightning Storm. In the North/South championship, the Strikers faced off against the Honey Badgers (14-2). Pitchers Brooke Cleary, Grace Palamountain and Ally Cleary led the Strikers to a 7-6 victory over the South Division champs.

The Strikers roster included: Alexys Abraham, Brooke Cleary, Lauren Comstock, Ashley Gray, Karleigh Cowan, Allyson Cleary, Lauren Stafford, Kendall Johansson, Grace Palamountain, Cami Clizbe, Hannah Wassell, Elizabeth Thompson and Halie Harper.
