The Sharks play their first game at the SAP Center in almost a month Tuesday night when they face the Carolina Hurricane, and it should be interesting to see whether veteran Antti Niemi or rookie Alex Stalock gets the start in net.

Back-up Stalock earned San Jose's two road wins since the Olympic break, while Niemi absorbed the lone loss. And Stalock has played enough games now that it's reasonable to note that his .933 save percentage and 1.78 goals against average are better than the Niemi's at .911 and 2.40.

Coach Todd McLellan generally isn't disclosing his choice until game day, and seemed a little perturbed Sunday when asked after San Jose's win in New Jersey which goalie would see action Tuesday.

"We have two of them," the coach said, "and one of them is going to be in."
