The Sharks added eight 18-year-old prospects over the two-day NHL entry draft that concluded Saturday in Philadelphia. Here's a look at the players selected:

1 (27th) Nikolay Goldobin, RW 6-foot, 185 pounds Sarnia (OHL)

Comment: Team's MVP after goal, assist in Canada prospects game in January.

2 (46th) Julius Bergman, D 6-foot, 187 pounds Frolunda (Sweden Jr.)

Comment: Ranked 19th among European skates by Central Scouting.

2 (53rd) Noah Rod, RW 6-foot, 188 pounds Geneve (Swiss Jr.)

Comment: North American-style agitator with point-per-game skill.

3 (72nd) Alex Schoenbron, RW 6-foot, 196 pounds Portland (WHL)

Comment: Planned to play college hockey before being wooed by Winterhawks.

3 (81st) Dylan Sadowy, LW 5-foot-11, 183 pounds Saginaw (OHL)

Comment: Led team with 27 goals, tied for team lead with seven fights.

4 (102nd) Alexis Vanier, D 6-foot-4, 215 pounds Baie-Comeau (QMJHL)

Comment: On pace for 20-goal season before shoulder injury.

5 (149th) Rourke Chartier, C 5-foot-10, 173 pounds Kelowna (WHL)

Comment: TSN draft analyst Craig Button rated him 82nd best eligible player.

6 (171st) Kevin Labanc, RW 5-foot-10, 186 pounds Barrie (OHL)

Comment: Says he learned much from teammate Aaron Ekblad, draft's first overall pick.
