Isiah Thomas said Thursday that he's "disappointed and hurt" over criticisms levied by once good friend Magic Johnson in a new book chronicling the careers of Johnson and Larry Bird.

Johnson said Thomas questioned his sexuality after the Los Angeles Lakers star retired in 1991 after being diagnosed with HIV. He also said he played a role in keeping Thomas off the 1992 U.S. Olympic Dream Team.

"Nobody on that team wanted him," Johnson said in the book.

Thomas, now coaching at Florida International, said, "I feel taken advantage of for all these years."
