SHARKS VS. PHILADELPHIA

Faceoff: 7 p.m. at HP Pavilion

TV: CSNCA

Radio: 98.5-FM, 92.1-FM

Head to head: The Sharks beat the Flyers and ex-San Jose G Brian Boucher 4-1 on Oct. 25 behind two goals by C Manny Malhotra.

Flyers update: Philadelphia (12-5-1) opened a Western road swing Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles. Boucher made 37 saves in the spot start for the Flyers' seventh win in eight games. D Chris Pronger has 17 points in his first season in Philly. D Matt Carle, another ex-Shark, has 13 points and an NHL-leading plus-18 rating now that he's paired with the intimidating Pronger.

Sharks update: D Rob Blake (upper body) and LW Jody Shelley (soreness) were back on the ice at practice Thursday. But neither is expected in the lineup until the trip to Edmonton and Calgary after Thanksgiving. RW Devin Setoguchi (leg) and RW Brad Staubitz (face) won't play again tonight. So expect the Worcester shuttle to bring three players for the game. Evgeni Nabokov will be back in goal.

Flyers injuries: LW Simon Gagne (hernia surgery), LW/RW Arron Asham (strained oblique muscle) and D Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (concussion) are out.

Sharks injuries: Blake, Shelley, Staubitz and Setoguchi are out.
