"He's our closer, and he has been that way for the last couple of years," said forward Tim Duncan, who chipped in with 26 points. "He steps up and makes big shots for us. That's what we ask him to do, and he's delivered for us."
Parker made jump shots on consecutive possessions with less than 1:15 to go in the second overtime.

Rockets: Sasha McHale, daughter of Houston coach Kevin McHale, died Saturday at 23.
Sasha McHale had long battled lupus, according to the Houston Chronicle, and was hospitalized with a related condition.
Kevin McHale has been on leave since Nov. 10. Kelvin Sampson has been the interim coach.
