EVENTS: 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle

THE STAT LINE: Miller's final North Coast Section meet ended with two meet records and a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay. He won both his individual events, the 200- and 500-yard freestyle, in NCS record times of 1:35.86 and 4:23.85, respectively. He anchored the winning relay team.

Chelsea Chenault

SCHOOL: Carondelet

SPORT: Swimming

YEAR: Senior

EVENTS: 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle

THE STAT LINE: Chenault swept both her individual events, the 200- and 500-yard freestyle, and helped Carondelet set a national high school record in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the North Coast Section Championships. Her leadoff leg to the relay set a NCS record in the 100 freestyle (49.27 seconds). She set another meet record in the 200 freestyle (1:44.45).

MAX GOLDSTEIN, St. Mary's, baseball, Jr. -- Goldstein was 2 for 4 with a run and three RBIs in the Panthers' 5-1 victory over Pinole Valley in the Tri-County Athletic League tournament championship game. He also drove in two runs in an 8-0 semifinal win over El Cerrito.

TANNER HUGHES, Foothill, golf, Jr. -- Hughes shot a 4-under 68 at Rooster Run Golf Course in Petaluma, leading the Falcons to their fourth straight North Coast Section Division I Tournament of Champions team title.


MIANNI BROWN, Newark Memorial, track and field, Sr. -- Brown set a personal and NCS best in the girls 400 meters (55.58 seconds), which is ranked 10th in the state at press time according to
