RICHMOND -- The Pride opened the season with a shutout of the neighboring Oilers. Salesian held Richmond to 67 total yards of offense, forced six turnovers and only allowed Richmond to cross midfield three times.

The Pride jumped out to a 14-0 lead before capitalizing on the Oilers turnovers. Salesian lineman Vincent Roland knocked a ball loose on the goal line and recovered the fumble to put the Pride ahead 21-0. The following possession, Christopher Williams recovered a loose ball and ran 22 yards for the score.
