Boise State 34, Utah State 23: Joe Southwick passed for a career-high 335 yards and two touchdowns on 30-of-44 passing as the Broncos defeated the Aggies in Logan, Utah.
Shane Williams-Rhodes caught 13 of Southwick's passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. Running back Jay Ajayi ran for 109 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for the Broncos (4-2, 2-1 Mountain West), who led 24-0 at halftime.
Junior Craig Harrison made his first start at quarterback for Utah State (3-4, 2-1) after Chuckie Keeton, a three-year starter for the Aggies, suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first quarter of a loss to BYU a week earlier. Freshman Darell Garretson replaced Harrison with 9:23 to play in the third quarter.
UNLV 39, Hawaii 37: Nolan Kohorst kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired to give the Rebels a win over the Warriors in Las Vegas.
It was the senior kicker's first career game-winning field goal.
The Rebels (4-2, 2-0 MWC) won a fourth consecutive game for the first time since 2000. Hawaii (0-5, 0-3) rallied in the fourth quarter to take a one-point lead. After trailing 36-17, the Warriors scored three consecutive touchdowns, including a 44-yard strike from Sean Schroeder to Chris Gant with 1:44 left in the game.
UNLV quarterback Caleb Herring completed 34 of 57 pass attempts for 385 yards and one touchdown, while Tim Cornett rushed for 162 yards on 29 attempts and two touchdowns.
Wyoming 38, New Mexico 31: Brett Smith ran for two touchdowns, both in the fourth quarter, and passed for another, leading the Cowboys past the Lobos in Laramie, Wyo. Smith rushed for 138 yards, scoring on runs of 3 and 48 yards, and passed for 247.
Shaun Wick rushed for 116 yards and two TDs for Wyoming (4-2, 2-0).
Cole Gautsche led New Mexico (2-4, 0-2) with 113 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also passed for 156 yards and a TD. Kasey Carrier rushed 104 yards for the Lobos.
