SAN JOSE -- San Jose State's road game at Utah State was moved to Friday, Nov. 21, and will air on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m., the Mountain West Conference announced Thursday.

The announcement came as the conference released its Friday night national television schedule for the 2014 season. That was the only SJSU game to be moved to a Friday. The conference expects all remaining games to stay on Saturdays.

If so, that means SJSU will play 10 games on Saturdays, including four of its five home games. The Spartans open the season with a Thursday night contest against North Dakota on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. That move is not related to a television broadcast, but to avoid playing on Labor Day weekend when students are not on campus.

SJSU played just two of its six home games last season on Saturdays, three as a result of television broadcasts.

With the Utah State game airing on a Friday on ESPN2, the Spartans and Aggies will both receive a $300,000 bonus per the Mountain West's television contract.

Games that air on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC or CBS on Saturdays earn a $500,000 bonus and all other nights are $300,000. The conference has yet to release its Saturday television schedule, so SJSU could be in line for some additional bonus money if one of its Saturday games -- with contests at Fresno State and San Diego State seeming to be contenders -- is picked up by one of the major networks.
