The Las Lomas High football team scored early and often, blowing out the visiting Wildcats in a one-sided game.

Knights quarterback Adam Wood had a nearly perfect evening, completing 9 of 10 pass attempts for 154 yards with touchdowns to Ardell Romez and Robby Ow.

Las Lomas (7-1, 3-1 DFAL) showed it could run the ball just as effectively as it could pass. Jake Villa scored three rushing touchdowns for the Knights, who amassed 181 yards on the ground as a team.

Dougherty Valley quarterback Tyler Eastman was sacked five times. Eastman and the Wildcats were unable to get anything going until the fourth quarter, after Las Lomas took its foot off the gas pedal.

With 6:30 to play Eastman hooked up with Joshua Figueroa in the left corner of the endzone for a 16-yard touchdown to prevent the shutout. The extra point attempt was hooked left, summing up the night for Dougherty Valley (3-5, 0-4). Khirey Carson had a sack and a recovered fumble for Las Lomas, and nearly had an interception when he anticipated a screen pass and jumped the route. But he was unable to hang on to the ball as it fell incomplete.
