Aaron Taylor-Johnson, of "Kick-Ass" fame, may be in the running for the lead role in "50 Shades of Grey," according to British publication The Sun.

This probably has nothing to do with the fact that his wife, Sam Taylor-Wood, is the director.

Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the role over reported schedule conflicts with his hit TV show "Sons or Anarchy." Which again starts speculation on who might get the part now.

A source told The Sun, "Aaron was one of the original choices, but the concern was that Sam would have difficulty directing her own husband and that Aaron would feel uncomfortable. This is Sam's biggest project to date and having no lead secured yet is unsettling."

That's not the only thing that's unsettling. Have any of these people actually read that book?

"Having her husband by her side makes sense, even if it could be awkward at times," the source continued. "Aaron is in pre-production for the movie 'The Avengers: Age Of Ultron', but they can easily work around the scheduling. He's beefed up his body, too. The whole project has been pushed back."

Taylor-Johnson, 23, and Taylor-Wood, 46, married after working together on 2009's "Nowhere Boy."

Dakota Johnson will play the female lead in the adaptation of the best-selling E.L. James novel.
