Jennifer Lawrence had to cancel a number of recent talk show appearances after stomach pain sent her to the hospital.
The "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" star appeared Wednesday on "Late Night with David Letterman," and said she's been dealing with abdominal issues for weeks, according to Us Weekly.
"I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks," Lawrence told Letterman, explaining that she finally decided to go to the ER. —And you know you can only (expletive) your pants so many times a day before you go to the emergency room, before you're like 'I need to go to the hospital.'"
That stopped Letterman dead in his tracks until he finally said, deadpan, "It's like talking to Helen Hayes."
The actress underwent an endoscopy, a procedure she happily describe to Letterman. "I just did this thing yesterday called an endoscopo-something, where they put you to sleep," she said. "And the woman -- it's pretty clear when you first meet me, I'm a freakin' head case and I'm crazy -- so I'm in there like, 'Ugh, what are these?! What do they mean?! What does that say?!'"
In her stupor, she recalled, "The last thing I said was, 'I'm paralyzed!'"
If there's anyone on the planet who should have a reality show, it's Jennifer Lawrence.
While under, Lawrence experienced some wacky dreams, indeed. "I dreamed there was a nuclear bomb that went off ... And the first lucid conversation I remember having was about the Kardashians!"
