Happy Bruce Day, readers! Springsteen has returned with a new album -- and that really should be cause enough for a national holiday. (And it probably is an official holiday in New Jersey.) "High Hopes," the Boss' 18th studio effort, is good, not great. Yet, it's worth the price of admission to just hear Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello rip through "The Ghost of Tom Joad." Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles wants you to hear her new solo effort, "That Girl," which also hit stores today. It's a pretty strong outing for the sensational singer, whose talents were sometimes wasted on some lackluster Sugarland material. Definitely check out her awesome version of Bob Seger's "Like a Rock" and listen to the title track.

Last words: Van Halen's "1984" turned 30 last week. And -- news flash! -- it still stinks.
