KISS and Def Leppard are honoring their fans in the armed services on this tour. Notably, the bands are donating a portion of the money from ticket sales to military charities. KISS and Def Leppard have partnered with USO, Hiring Our Heroes, Project Resiliency/The Raven Drum Foundation, August Warrior Project and the Wounded Warrior Project.
KISS is celebrating its 40th anniversary on this tour. The band has released 44 records, which have combined to sell over 100 million copies worldwide. After a long wait, KISS will finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.
Def Leppard has also sold more than 100 million records. The group is best known for the 1980s albums "Pyromania" and "Hysteria," each of which have sold more than 10 million copies in the U.S. alone.
Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden have announced plans for a co-headlining tour, which is set to touch down Aug. 24 at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
Tickets for that Mountain View date go on sale to the general public at noon March 21 through www.livenation.com. Ticket prices are $29.50-$99.50.
This hard-rocking doubleheader is set to launch July 19 in Las Vegas and is scheduled to run through an Aug. 25 date at the Hollywood Bowl. In all, the rockers currently plan to visit 23 cities.
