Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden have many things in common. They both feature powerful lead vocalists (NIN's Trent Reznor and Soundgarden's Chris Cornell), perform darkly mesmerizing hard-rock tunes and deliver captivating live shows. Now, they're sharing one more thing -- the stage. Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden have embarked on a co-headlining tour, which touches down Sunday at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. Jack White is easily one of the most important artists in recent rock history. His legend was born with The White Stripes, the highly influential alt-blues/rock duo that ran from 1997 to 2011, and strengthened through his work with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. The diversely talented musician, who came in at No. 17 on Rolling Stone's famous list of the 100 greatest guitarists, is currently supporting his second solo outing, "Lazaretto," on tour. The second annual First City Festival returns to the Monterey County Fair and Event Center on Saturday and Sunday.
