Former Cal guard Justin Cobbs has signed to play for the Memphis Grizzlies' summer-league team. Cobbs, a first-team all-Pac-12 selection, will play his first game Saturday against the Miami Heat in Orlando, Florida.

Cobbs ranked ninth in the Pac-12 in scoring as a senior last season with a team-best 15.6 points-per-game average. He also ranked second in the conference in assists (5.8 apg.). Cobbs' 204 assists during the 2013-14 season ranked fourth on Cal's single-season assists chart.

  • Cal women's basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb has added Jeff Cammon to her staff as an assistant. Cammon spent the past five seasons in the same role at Long Beach State. Cal had an opening on its staff when Katy Steding left to become head coach at Boston University.
