Acalanes 14, Miramonte 7: Dons quarterback Tyler Caldwell found a wide open Lucas Levine on the left sideline with 33 seconds left for a game-winning 40-yard touchdown.

James King retured the ensuing kickoff 42 yards, and with six seconds left in the game, the Matadors had one final attempt at the end zone. But Ross Anderson's hail mary pass from the 41-yard line was intercepted by Trent Baker.

The Dons (4-4, 3-1 DFAL) got its first score 3:36 before halftime on Bo McSwine's 3-yard run. They looked in position to score again on their first drive of the third quarter, but King recovered a fumble on the Matadors' one-yard line.

Miramonte (3-4, 1-2) responded with a 15-play, 99-yard drive on its next possession, capped by Kevin Paulsen's 8-yard touchdown run.

McSwine rushed 28 times for 128 yards and Caldwell's touchdown throw was only the second pass the Dons attempted all night.

Anderson, making his first start at quarterback for the Matadors, led his team with 91 yards on the ground.
