It's a tricky question for sure. But we're determined to find the answer via a blockbuster tournament that could deliver shock waves as far away as Whoville. You know all about March Madness. Now brace yourself for "Holiday Hysteria."
Yes, we've taken a cue from college basketball's wildly popular free-for-all and busted out the brackets. But instead of tall men in baggy shorts, this is a holly jolly smackdown between bearded old guys, roly-poly elves, talking snowmen, drummer boys and more.
Our tournament kicked off with 32 iconic holiday programs, which are being whittled down based on your votes in a series of of one-on-one, single-elimination face offs. Third-round voting has been completed. Now we're down to the Final 4.
Just look over the semifinal matchups listed below Please note that the tourney field is divided into four categories: Hand-drawn classics, stop-motion (or computer-generated) animation, ageless big-screen gems and more contemporary movies. We've also seeded the programs. Grabbing the top four seeds are "A Charlie Brown Christmas," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Christmas Story."
Now, we ask you to do your duty as Americans and get out the vote. Just look over the four third-round matchups listed below. By selecting your favorites, you'll help us narrow the field.
Final 4 voting will continue through 1 p.m. Thursday, after which we'll determine the title combatants and prevail upon your choices again. The tourney will proceed accordingly with an announcement of the champion to be published Dec. 23.
OK, that's the rundown. The polls are open as we speak. Now don't be a Winter Warlock -- and vote.
