PLEASANTON -- Traffic is expected to be busier than usual Saturday when the city hosts the annual Tri-Valley Swim League Championships.
The event will be held at the Dolores Bengston Aquatic Center, 4455 Black Ave., from from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is expected to draw about 900 swimmers and spectators.
An advisory from the city warns of possible traffic congestion on Santa Rita Road and Black Avenue. However, the city has developed a traffic flow system to speed up swimmer drop-offs and to reduce back-ups. The meet will feature swim teams including the DBAC Piranhas, the Briarhill Barracudas, the Clubsport Title Waves, the Del Prado Stingrays, the Dublin Green Gators, FAST Dolphins, the Pleasanton Meadows Sharks and the Ruby Hill Killer Waves.
