LIVERMORE -- A motorcyclist airlifted to a hospital Thursday suffered a severe leg injury after a collision on South Vasco Road, police said.
Police responded to the collision between the motorcycle and a vehicle about 11:55 a.m., on South Vasco Road just south of Preston Avenue, Officer Traci Rebiejo said. Livermore police requested CHP assistance to close the offramp so the medical helicopter could land on South Vasco Road.
The motorcyclist was transported by helicopter to a hospital for treatment of the injuries following the collision, Rebiejo said. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
