Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have split up after three years of marriage.
A rep for Bloom told E! News "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
For once, I would love to see a PR person release a statement saying "The split isn't amicable at all. They hate each other and are planning to have one of the nastiest court battles in the history of nasty court battles. They may even throw sharp objects at each other."
The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria's Secret model began dating in 2007. Kerr gave birth to their son, Flynn, on Jan. 6, 2011.
She and Bloom were last photographed together by the paparazzi on Oct. 8, according to the website. Their last public appearance was at the opening of "Romeo and Juliet" on Broadway on Sept. 19, in which Bloom is starring.
"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in 'Romeo and Juliet,' I was blown away," Kerr said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week -- I have so much respect for him. We don't run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk."
