TRACY -- Police are asking the public to help search for a man who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

On Dec. 5, at 6 p.m., according to a police news release, Shawn Hurlock took the family pets for a walk and never returned, police said.

Hurlock is described as a white male, 49 years old, with blond hair, hazel eyes, about 5 feet 10 inches and 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red plaid long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Police said Hurlock suffers from mental illness.
