LIVERMORE -- The body of a 45-year-old woman was discovered inside a recreational vehicle Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a church under what police are calling suspicious circumstances.

Officers and emergency crews responded about 6:30 a.m. to the parking lot of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship at 460 North Livermore Ave. after a 911 caller reported the woman inside the RV was not breathing, Detective Sgt. Paul Mayer said.

Mayer said the woman has been identified as Chris Tripp of Livermore.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Mayer said.

The Alameda County Coroner arrived about 10 a.m. to pick up the body and an autopsy will be performed later to determine the cause of death, Mayer said.

There were no signs of foul play immediately evident at the scene, nor any signs of trauma, but the circumstances surrounding the woman's death remain suspicious, Mayer said.

"We consider it suspicious at this point," Mayer said. "We're treating it as significant, hopefully it will prove not to be."

Tripp frequented the church's soup kitchen, and may have been living in the RV that was parked outside of the church, authorities said.
